Revelations

List of the gears that we are taking for the trip:

• We got ourself each a good back-pack. Not the most expensive one, but a good one. One is quite tall and has a capacity of about 60 Liters! The other one is smaller (around 40 Liters) and this will be the one that we will be carrying around mostly. We are planning to finish all our packing in these two.
• Secondly, we got ourself some very light summer clothing. Europe is going through a heat-wave. So I guess this will help.
• For photography, I borrowed (from Venkat) some CF storage for my EOS 350D. Now I have a total of 1.75 GB storage! So I can shoot away (in RAW mode) to glory.  Also I am packing standard accessories like external flash, tripod, chargers etc.
  
• I am also carrying my laptop (a IBM Thinkpad X41 tablet). I am hoping that I can continue to blog about the trip. Also the laptop will help free up the space on the CF cards when they are full.

I have uploaded a lot of pictures here. Some of these picture were taken with my ond Canon A75, the rest were taken with my new Digital SLR - Canon EOS 350D.

I am really happy about the image quality of 350D. You can observe this in the following pictures - which is a portrait of my friend Brijesh.

If you really look into his eyes, you can observe the reflection of me taking the shot - amazing!!!

I am thrilled to announce that I have bought a Digital SLR - Canon EOS 350D / Digital Rebel XT. It comes with a kit lens EFS 18-55mm. I already have a flash that supports EOS E-TTL - Canon Speedlite 420EX. Now that I have all the stuff, I am hopping I can really improve my photography skills :-)

I will start uploading the snaps that I have taken here.

I got hooked on to photography after I bought my SLR [Canon EOS 3000]. I will be writing more about this in the future.

ps. The above link points to my photo gallery, created using Microsoft FotoVision ASP.Net sample application. There seems to be some problem in rendering this using FireFox. I plan to investigate this and fire a bug report with FireFox. Meantime if someone can help me with this, it would be great..
